The Rotary Sponsored Youth Leadership & Development Competition local interviews have now taken place and the winner of this year’s Rotary Club of Comber prize is Sophia Nestius - Brown a pupil of Down High School, many congratulations are due to Sophia.
President of the Rotary Club of Comber, Ken Brundle commented: “This competition seeks out top students with high leadership qualities from local Secondary Schools and Youth and Activities Groups. It has encouraged them to put themselves forward for this challenge — and subsequently, many other challenges that come their way. Each year winners have the opportunity of representing Ireland on the European stage in a most impressive way. Moreover, they experience great personal development in their interaction with other young people from different traditions across this island and from across the European Union”.
